Newcastle United locked horns with Manchester United at Old Trafford earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a positive result on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 24th minute when Patrick Dorgu scored with a great strike. Eddie Howe’s players failed to come up with a response and went into the half-time interval 1-0 down on the scoreline.
The Tyneside club failed to mount a comeback in the second half and crashed to a lackluster 1-0 loss away from home.
Let’s take a look at how each Newcastle United player fared during the match against the Red Devils.
Ramsdale made a couple of solid saves during the game, but couldn’t do much about Dorgu’s goal.
RB: Lewis Miley – 6.5/10
He caught the eye at times on both ends of the field.
CB: Malick Thiaw – 6.5/10
Thiaw did his fair share of defending and was good on the ball.
CB: Fabian Schar – 6.5/10
He didn’t do much wrong defensively and was a real threat at the other end of the field.
