Hamzat Ojediran ‘to join’ Colorado Rapids from Lens | OneFootball

Hamzat Ojediran is set to join Colorado Rapids from Lens after the clubs reached an agreement. Foot Mercato first reported the MLS side were close to sealing his signing.

The Nigerian defensive midfielder, 22, joined Lens from Debrecen in August 2024 on a four-year deal, signed with a view to developing his potential.

He made 17 appearances last season under Will Still, starting once and scoring once.

This season, after being tried in pre-season, Pierre Sage has not used him in competitive matches, and he has been steered towards a move for months.

Lens are in line for a profit, with the fee set to be more than double the €1.2m they paid. Only administrative formalities and a medical remain before confirmation, and he was not on the teamsheet for Friday’s 3-1 Coupe de France win over Feignies-Aulnoye.
