A trio of fresh faces are expected to take their place in Barcelona’s latest matchday squad this weekend.

This comes amid confirmation that Joan Laporta and co. are planning to make use of a personal guarantee to La Liga, to ensure the registration of those who remain unregistered at present.

Barcelona have of course enjoyed a positive opening to the defence of their Spanish top-flight title, after rattling off back-to-back victories over Mallorca and Levante.

En route to as much, however, three players were unable to even take their respective places on the bench.

Owing to the ongoing financial problems in Catalunya’s capital, Wojciech Szczęsny, Gerard Martín and summer signing Roony Bardghji were not eligible to be called up.

If the latest word stemming from the media over the last 24 hours is anything to go by, though, then this situation looks set to change this weekend.

As per a report from Jijantes:

‘Barça will execute a small guarantee to register Tek, Gerard Martin, and Roony without relying on last-minute moves or VIP Seats.’
