One such name is Lamine Yamal, and the 18-year-old Spanish winger has certainly taken this Barça side to new heights. If the eye test was not enough, even Hansi Flick cannot help but praise the young winger.

Ahead of the upcoming La Liga game against RCD Mallorca, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo, Flick provided an in-depth analysis of Yamal’s progression and spoke in detail about what stands out most to him when it comes to the young winger:

“I’m very happy with what I see in him. He’s improving, and the most important thing with talents like this is that they enjoy playing football and their work, and he’s doing that. We want to help him reach the next level and take the next step. He’s focused, and that’s what I see, and it also shows in his performances. He gives us a lot in every match, and now he’s also scoring more goals. That’s very good for him, and he has much more potential that he’ll be able to show us in the coming years.”

However, despite being impressed by his development and ability as a player, the Barcelona coach also believes that his best version is yet to be seen:

“Hopefully, his best level is still to come, of course. The most important thing for me is that he trains like a champion, and right now he’s on that path. He’s very smart, and he’s just as smart on the pitch, and off it, he’s doing very well too. You have to give your best version, and when you train at 100%, you can give 100% in the match, and he knows that — and that’s what I want to see. His talent is incredible, it’s enormous, and we’ll see everything else as time goes on.”

In recent games, Yamal has been particularly impressive, scoring goals freely and delivering a series of brilliant displays. The young Barça superstar is clearly destined for greatness, but Hansi Flick’s guidance has already proved incredibly beneficial for him and will surely continue to be so.
