Leeds United’s hopes of signing Harry Wilson now look remote amid a contract offer on the table at Fulham.

Wilson has eight combined goals and assists in 15 appearances and produced one goal and two assists in the 3-2 win over Burnley. "Offer on the table for him. I think he'll sign it. I don't think it would be wise to change clubs when you're in a moment like this," he said, speaking to Ranks FC.

He added: "Particularly if Marco Silva ends up signing too, which I am expecting him to do, you've just got to keep going with that while you've got it."

Leeds pushed hard on deadline day, even filing a deal sheet in hope of completing the move after the cut-off. Wilson was keen on a switch to Elland Road, but he stayed in West London.

His contract expires next summer, a detail that had offered Leeds fans a sliver of January optimism. Marco Silva said this month: "I don't have any update... When I'm going to have any feedback from the board, we are going to say something to you."
