Bayern Munich chief Uli Hoeness has this weekend made use of the opportunity to take aim at La Liga champions Barcelona.
This comes fresh off a new round of reports linking Harry Kane with a potential Spotify Camp Nou switch.
Barcelona are of course on the hunt for a new centre-forward with a view to next season, ahead of the departure of Robert Lewandowski on a free transfer.
Tipped as a potential arrival in Catalunya’s capital on a number of occasions in the past, the aforementioned Harry Kane has in turn seen his name emerge as a prominent one in the Spanish media once more.
If the latest comments stemming from Munich are anything to go by, however, then the Blaugrana faithful need not get their hopes up when it comes to the Englishman’s possible addition to Hansi Flick’s squad.
This comes with Bayern director Uli Hoeness having this weekend both confirmed Kane’s continuation, and directed something of a jibe at Barcelona:
“Kane is one of the best transfers we’ve ever made, and he’s staying. Barcelona have no money anyway.”
