Everton have completed the transfer of Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough on a five-year deal.
The 24-year-old came through the academy at Boro and quickly established himself in the team, having been a key figure in the squad for the past four seasons.
Now, Hackney has made his move to the Premier League by joining the Toffees on a deal reported to be worth a total of around £24 million of which £16.5 million will be paid up front.
"I'm delighted to be here," Hackney said on his arrival at the Merseyside club.
"As soon as I spoke to the manager, as soon as I knew Everton were interested, to be honest, it was always going to be Everton. It’s such a big club, with the new stadium and the direction it’s going in. I just wanted to be part of that.
"The manager's track record of bringing players from the Championship to the Premier League was a massive part of my decision as well. Hopefully I can be the next one to do it successfully for Everton."
Last season, Hackney played 41 times for Boro in all competitions, scoring six goals and making seven assists.
