Heidenheim attempt to acquire Bayern Munich striker Gabriel Vidovic

Sky Germany reports that Heidenheim remain interested in picking up Bayern Munich attacking prospect Gabriel Vidovic. The German broadcaster refutes reports emerging yesterday that the 21-year-old is set to be sold to Dinamo Zagreb. Sky also lists SC Braga as a potential suitor for the young striker.

The latest report explicitly states that there has been no contact between Bayern and Zagreb over the 21-year-old. It does seem likely that – after taking FCB talents Paul Wanner and Frans Krätzig on loan this past season – Bayern and Heidenheim could be ready to strike a deal.

Sky claims that Heidenheim are open to either taking Vidovic on loan or purchasing him outright. In order for a loan deal to be concluded, Vidovic must first extend his contract with Bayern. The 21-year-old cannot be loaned out with working papers set to expire in 2026.

With so many different possibilities floating about, it likely looks to be the case that the matter of Vidovic’s future will not be resolved soon. The FCB front office – scrambling to solidify their squad ahead of the coming Club World Cup – obviously have more pressing concerns.
