France international midfielder Adrien Rabiot (30) was presented on Friday as an AC Milan player at the club’s Milanello headquarters. Rabiot was transfer-listed by Olympique de Marseille last month following a dressing room brawl with Jonathan Rowe. The England U21 winger came to blows with Rabiot on the back of OM’s Ligue 1 opening-day away defeat to Rennes after conceding a 90th-minute dagger against a 10-man Breton side.

Rowe was shown the door too, and joined Bologna, Milan’s Serie A opponents this Sunday, which means Rabiot and Rowe will meet again. The former PSG and Juventus midfielder said he was even looking forward to it. “There’s nothing special with Jonathan”, Rabiot said in his presser. “We spoke when he signed for Bologna and I for Milan. We sent messages to wish each other the best.”

Rabiot did not shed any more light on the Roazhon Park incident, which has been described as  “extremely violent” by Marseille president Pablo Longoria. “Jonathan is a good guy. What happened at OM is a dressing room incident that can happen anywhere. But it hasn’t changed the relationship I have with him.”
