Unión defeated Gimnasia 4 to 0 in the group stage of the Professional League. The goal scorers were Rafael Profini (3′ PT), Luciano Paredes (40′ PT, own goal), Marcelo Estigarribia (34′ ST, penalty), and Diego Díaz (38′ ST).
