Manchester City and Arsenal lead the way as the Premier League clubs that will have the most representatives at this summer’s World Cup.
With the summer tournament fast approaching, every national team competing has now selected their squad. Although the Gunners successfully pipped City to the title, it is the Blues who will be the most-well represented Premier League club at the 2026 World Cup.
In total, 19 of City’s stars will jet off to the international tournament in North America this summer. This number is not only greater than any other English club, but more than any other side in world football. This total is reached despite the likes of Phil Foden and Savinho not being selected to represent their national teams.
Arsenal come out as the best of the rest in the Premier League. 16 members of Mikel Arteta’s squad will be at the World Cup, the second-most out of all English teams.
Manchester United, with 13 representatives, and Crystal Palace, with 12, round out the top four. Then come Chelsea, Liverpool and Sunderland. All three sides will have 11 of their players competing at the World Cup.
Aston Villa follow with ten representatives, then Tottenham with nine and Brighton with eight. Fulham and Newcastle are tied with seven players each heading to the tournament. Similarly, six players from both Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest will be representing their countries.
Next, Brentford, Everton and Leeds will each be cheering on just four of their players at the World Cup.
Finally, and perhaps unsurprisingly, the least-well represented Premier League teams at the 2026 World Cup, will be the three newly-promoted sides. Hull, with three representatives, find themselves narrowly ahead of Coventry and Ipswich, who will both have two.
