Juventus have officially parted ways with CEO Damien Comolli, who has left his position at the top of the club’s hierarchy by mutual consent, but the Bianconeri are still obliged to hand over a significant severance package to their former director.

How much do Juventus have to pay Comolli in severance?

Comolli joined Juventus one year ago, initially as the club’s general manager before being promoted to the title of CEO in November.

Reports indicate that tensions have been brewing between Comolli and head coach Luciano Spalletti, who joined the club less than a fortnight before Comolili was promoted to his role as CEO.

Though Comolli handed Spalletti a new contract extension back in April, there have reportedly been disagreements over transfer decisions and suggestions that a failed pursuit of Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker was the final nail in the coffin for the Juve executive.

Juventus have already confirmed that Giovanni Carnevali has taken over as the club’s new CEO.

Though Comolli left Juventus by mutual consent, reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport indicate that the Bianconeri will still have to pay compensation.

Juventus are obliged to pay Comolli €850,000 in in severance pay, but the club will not force the Frenchman to pay back the signing bonuses he received last year, which might have been a possibility had he resigned as opposed to leaving by mutual consent.
