According to Globo.com, Flamengo are in talks with West Ham over Lucas Paquetá and, as his training club, would be due around four per cent via a FIFA fund.

Flamengo will submit an official proposal after the most recent alignment meeting. An initial informal figure was €35 million fixed plus €5 million in bonuses, with no updates since.

At that level, Flamengo would receive four per cent of €35 million, then four per cent of the €5 million if targets are met. That is €1.4 million, R$8.7 million, plus a possible €200,000, R$1.2 million.

Paquetá joined aged nine and left at 21 years, four months and one week, with his release filed on 3 January 2019, within FIFA’s solidarity window.

His 2019 move to Milan cost €35 million, around R$150 million, with Flamengo taking R$105 million as they owned 70%.

Milan sold him to Lyon in September 2020 for €20 million, earning Flamengo four per cent, €801,000.

When West Ham signed Paquetá in 2022, Flamengo were due €1.415 million, about R$7.9 million, including €282,000 in 2023, and €1.133 million in instalments to 2027. Those sums were listed as R$1.6 million and R$7.07 million, using the exchange rate on each payment date.
