Thomas Frank back at his old club as Spurs bid to start 2026 on a high
Spurs played Brentford at home less than a month ago and came away 2-0 victors, but a lot has changed since then.
Pressure has mounted on Frank after a 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest and then a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool before Christmas. Spurs did beat Crystal Palace 1-0 in their last game but Frank is in desperate need of another positive result as he attempts to get fans onside.
Brentford are enjoying some good form after back-to-back wins over Wolves and Bournemouth, and the Bees are one point above Spurs in the table.
But a win for Spurs could take them as high as seventh in the Premier League, as they bid to start 2026 on a positive note and kick on in the second half of the season.
Igor Thiago is having a fine season and has scored 11 top-flight goals, but the Brentford striker is a fitness doubt for the game.
Spurs look set to be without Brennan Johnson as he closes in on a £35million move to Crystal Palace.
