Chelsea are in good recent form, having won their last two Premier League games. They have not lost in their last five games, and are now up to second in the Premier League, only behind Arsenal. The Blues will be confident, and have won two of their four Champions League games.
Barcelona are also in strong form. They have won three of their last four games, and their most recent victory was a 4-0 thrashing of Athletic Club in La Liga. They have also won two of their four UCL games.
Blues boss Maresca: “They are an unbelievable team but we are going to do our best to win the game. Their high line is a factor for sure, but we need to pay attention off the ball because they are a team that creates a lot of good chances and always score goals. So we will need the right balance between attacking and defending.”
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick: “For me, Chelsea are one of the best clubs in the world. The evolution of this club has been fantastic. They have very good young players and a great coach. I really appreciate what they’re doing.”
