Chelsea and Crystal Palace will serve up the first London derby of the new Premier League season this afternoon.

Optimism will be in the air for both clubs following double trophy success in recent months.

The Blues, last month, added the Club World Cup to their 2024-25 Conference League triumph and have been tipped by many to launch a title challenge as the season progresses.

Enzo Maresca, who still wants more signings, has already bolstered his squad significantly with the likes of Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Jamie Gittens. Meanwhile, youngster Estevao has shown encouraging signs after joining up from Palmeiras.

As for Palace, the FA Cup and Community Shield winners have, so far, managed to keep hold of Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze as they embark on an historic season which will see them compete in Europe for the very first time.
