That loss compounded by Liverpool’s win and a draw for Aston Villa left Chelsea fearing the worst with regards to their Champions League qualification hopes.

However, Man Utd’s shock home defeat to Leeds on Monday night has offered Chelsea a lifeline as victory in west London would see them close the gap to just four points.
