Liverpool go into the game having beaten Man City on Sunday but have drawn two of their last four games.
Newcastle have lost three of the last five in the league but beat Nottingham Forest 4-3 on Sunday.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot on the busy schedule: “I’m not so sure it is difficult because these players are trained for this and they are ready for this,” he said.
“They are in a certain rhythm and they have shown this season many times that they are able to but it was the reason that I changed the line-up so drastically against Plymouth because I don’t think you can do this all season.
“You need once every four or five weeks, a normal week and what I mean by a normal week is two games a week, not three games a week. Of course, it hurt us in the FA Cup but it also means that these players are now able to play five games in a row at the highest possible level.”
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe: “We need to play close to a perfect game. I think learning from the recent game against Manchester City would be a useful starting point for us, where we didn’t execute the aggressive game plan that we wanted. We didn’t attack enough.
