How to watch NYCFC play Charlotte FC on the road, the time, and more | OneFootball

Fans are likely still celebrating the end of the Major League Soccer winless streak after New York City FC beat the Columbus Crew on Sunday.  Alas, the celebrations cannot last long since the Boys in Blue have a quick turnaround.  They will face Charlotte FC for a midweek matchup.  Not only will they try to win their second match in a row, but the team will try to get their third win in a row at Bank of America Stadium.

NYCFC wants to start the four-game road trip in all competitions by winning.  But like last time, it will be a challenge.  The Crown has already beaten the Bronx team this season, and they have had the advantage.  Before the end of last season, the Pigeons only beat their opponents once.  Now, thanks to the win in the regular season last fall and the two postseason victories, they have four wins against Charlotte.  But the record is still 4-6-2, so it is possible the difficult times against the team can return.

Nevertheless, there is hope that the win against the Crew will be a confidence booster.  NYCFC knows that they can win, and Charlotte is another team that they will face with the same record in MLS.  They are both 4-5-3 with 15 points.  Winning against a side with a similar record can help them figure out a way to win more matches against other teams close in the standings.  As the season progresses, the team can move up in the table.

In the meantime, it is unlikely that Hannes Wolf will score another hat-trick or even a brace.  But if the winger can find the back of the net, then that will help NYCFC greatly in their quest to get a road win.

Final notes

Supporters should expect multiple NYCFC players to remain out for Wednesday.  That is why there is no room for mistakes, and the players must be clinical in front of the goal, just like Wolf was against Columbus.
