Sunderland have confirmed they will hand opportunities to academy prospects during three United States friendlies, starting against Liverpool in Nashville, with Trey Ogunsuyi, Finn Geragusian, Tom Proctor and Ben Kindon among those who could feature.

Leeds United follows in New Jersey on Thursday 30th July at seven thirty pm EDT and twelve thirty am BST. Wrexham in Pennsylvania is on Sunday 2nd August at 12pm EDT and five pm BST, with worldwide coverage excluding the United States for both.

Sunderland then visit RC Lens on Saturday 8th August at 4pm CEST and 3pm BST, with coverage unavailable in France and French-speaking territories. Stade Rennais come to the Stadium of Light on Saturday 15th August at 3pm BST, with coverage unavailable in the United Kingdom, France and French-speaking territories.

Brian Brobbey, Nilson Angulo, Habib Diarra, Robin Roefs, Simon Adingra, Arthur Masuaku and Noah Sadiki will join after the Liverpool game following World Cup duty. Regis Le Bris will then be able to call upon Granit Xhaka, Chemsdine Talbi, Omar Alderete and new signing Thomas Meunier for the Lens trip.
