Chelsea are suffering right now, and manager Liam Rosenior is under huge pressure. A couple of cup wins are the only thing stopping us from being on a five game losing streak.

“It’s a 52.4% win percentage for Chelsea right now [for Rosenior]. At Strasbourg he was 49.2%, at Hull City 34.6%. Lifetime is like 43.7% across all those clubs he’s managed at this point,” Dan Dormer pointed out.

“Some of those [Chelsea] wins are against League One, League Two opposition,” presenter Nick Verlaney pointed out.

“I have huge questions about the manager and the manager’s experience, and his strategies. I didn’t love the way we played football under Enzo Maresca either, but I certainly went into big games with a little more confidence about his strategy, and I don’t feel that with with Rosenior.”

Rosenior not helped by Chelsea situation

This was always going to be the case – when you appointed an inexperienced manager, you need to give them a chance to prove themselves. Dropping them in in January with 20 games to play in 10 weeks is the opposite of that.
