Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler has revealed that Igor Julio is available for Brighton’s upcoming match against Everton.
The Brazilian defender joined West Ham on loan during the summer but has been recalled to the south Coast after a lack of game time under Nuno Espirito Santo.
Brighton have found themselves short in defence this season and have just let Diego Coppola move to Paris FC on loan until the end of the season.
Toulouse’s Charlie Cresswell is linked with a move to the Albion, but Hurzeler remained tight-lipped regarding any transfer updates. He said: “There’s a lot of rumours going around… we need to focus on our short-term future and get results.”
Earlier in the week, reports claimed that Brighton turned down a £20 million bid for Yasin Ayari from Nottingham Forest. Hurzeler refused to entertain any talks on the Swede’s future.
In terms of injury updates, Hurzeler admitted that Diego Gomez could be a doubt to face the Toffees due to a small issue he picked up in training earlier this week.
He said: “We are waiting to see if he can train today… that is the only concern we have.”
