Mohamed Salah scored yet another goal against the Red Devils but Amad Diallo ensured a point for his side with his late finish.

Man United legend Roy Keane was perplexed with why his former side can play like this every week.

He said (via BBC Sport): “Manchester United turned up. They showed a bit of passion. They did it at Manchester City recently as well.

“The argument to all of this though is that you can’t just pick and choose when you want to turn up for a game at Manchester United.

“I don’t think anyone would have predicted them scoring two goals today or nearly nicking it at the end. But the key is that they have to back it up.”

The United supporters will echo Keane’s post-match comments.

The Red Devils have blown hot and cold for a few seasons now.

They put in a strong display against Man City a few weeks back.

Everyone expected today to be a basketball scoreline in Liverpool’s favour.

Manager Arne Slot was quizzed if he is planning to rest a few of his key players considering United’s situation.

However, Bruno Fernandes and his teammates showed up today.

They could have sealed a big victory if Harry Maguire had successfully finished with his chance in the injury minute.

Rasmus Hojlund and Diallo had goal-scoring opportunities in the first half but they let the team down with their finishing.

United face a big task against Arsenal in the FA Cup next Sunday.

It is remains to be seen if Ruben Amorim’s men could replicate their gritty display.
