Manchester United are set to travel to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal in the Premier League on Wednesday.
It will be Ruben Amorim’s first big test since taking over the managerial job at Man United.
Amorim hinted that Leny Yoro could be involved in the midweek encounter.
He said (via ManUtd.com): “Maybe Leny Yoro is going to be in the squad. I felt he’s in a good moment now, his fitness is better, so I think he is going to be in the squad.
“We didn’t have too many trainings together. He’s training not alone but with a small group of players. He’s really fast but he’s a modern defender and that is good when you want to press high.
“I think he is a special talent but we have to be careful in this first moment.
“You have a lot of strikers, especially in this league, one against one. I think he can manage that. He’s very good with the ball so I’m really excited but we have to be careful.
“We have to manage the load and the minutes in the beginning but I’m really excited to see Leny Yoro playing.”
Yoro fractured his metatarsal during a friendly against Arsenal in pre-season.
He was welcomed back into training in the first week of November but has yet to make his way into a matchday squad for United.
The French centre-back could feature on the right side of a back three in the second half.
While Noussair Mazraoui has filled that role under Amorim, the return of Yoro would be a major boost for the club.
The 19-year-old has caught the eye of the new head coach and could play a key part in this exciting new chapter for the Red Devils.
