Tottenham Hotspur manager Igor Tudor is set to drop Guglielmo Vicario from Spurs’ line-up for tonight’s Premier League game against Crystal Palace, according to the Sun.
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club are fighting for their safety and the new boss is ready to make much-needed changes.
Vicario has played 38 times across all competitions for Spurs this term, starting in all of their 28 league fixtures.
However, Tudor is expected to start Antonin Kinsky ahead of the Italian against Palace tonight.
Vicario has struggled with his confidence in recent games, failing to impress with both his ball-playing and ball-stopping decisions.
Tottenham have shipped two or more goals in each of their last eight league games, and Tudor’s hands appear to have been forced.
Kinsky has not played for Spurs since last October, with his two appearances this season coming both in the Carabao Cup against Doncaster and Newcastle.
The Czech goalkeeper has only played 12 times in all competitions since joining Tottenham from Slavia Prague in January 2025.
However, he will fancy his chances against Palace if started and will be desperate to prove himself and hold on to the spot going forward.
Spurs could do with a win tonight as only one point stands between them and the relegation zone.
Failure to pick up all three points against the Eagles could see Tottenham drop down into the bottom-three with both Nottingham Forest and West Ham United breathing down their necks.
Tudor will be right to drop Vicario and one or two players as long as the needed results are delivered ahead of their final nine league games of 2025-26.
Relegation is a real possibility for Spurs following a woeful league campaign so far, and desperate times call for desperate measures.
