Former Juventus boss set to take over in north London
Igor Tudor has agreed to become the Tottenham interim head coach for the rest of the season.
Spurs reached an agreement on Friday for the Croatian to take charge of the club until the summer, when a permanent head coach will then be appointed.
Standard Sport understands Tudor will be a candidate for the full-time role if he does well between now and the end of the season, but it appears likelier that they will look elsewhere for the permanent appointment in the summer - with ex-Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino tipped by some for a romantic return to the club.
It comes after Tottenham sacked Thomas Frank as head coach on Wednesday after defeat to Newcastle left them 16th in the Premier League table and just five points off the relegation zone.
Tudor is expected to take training for the first time on Monday.
It was revealed earlier on Friday that Spurs were looking for an interim head coach to see them through until the end of the campaign, before turning their attentions to a wider pool of options in the summer.
Former Croatian international Tudor, 47, was most recently in charge of Juventus, taking over from Thiago Motta in March 2025. He was sacked in October the same year, despite signing a contract extension that summer.
Tudor was the first foreign manager at the club since Didier Deschamps back in 2006-07. He guided Juventus into the Serie A top four in his first few months in charge, but oversaw a winless run of eight games the following season that saw him dismissed.
He has previously managed Galatasaray, Udinese, Marseille and Lazio.
Tudor’s only piece of silverware in his managerial career came in his native Croatia, winning the Croatian Cup with Hajduk Split in 2013.
