Right-back Igor Vinícius is in fitness transition and was the only Santos player not to complete full training on Tuesday 30. According to Diario Do Peixe, he had been playing through the final matches before the break.
Head coach Cuca previously disclosed that the defender received an injection in his toe. Since returning from the holidays, he has been treating a fracture that has healed.
Midfielders João Schmidt and Gabriel Menino, who suffered muscle injuries in the back of the right thigh before the pause, have finished their transition and are working normally with the group. Willian Arão, who had been focused on gym strengthening, is now at 100%.
Attacking midfielders Gabriel Bontempo and Thaciano trained, then completed further strength work. Bontempo had been a regular starter and was feeling the effects of fatigue, while Thaciano sustained a right thigh muscle injury last month.
The squad will train in double sessions on Tuesday 30, Wednesday one and Thursday two, then switch to a single session on Friday three.
This is week two of the mid-season programme, which should leave only next week of full training before a July return to action. The first game after the pause is against Botafogo on 16 July in the Brasileirão. Santos also face the Sudamericana play-offs and the Copa do Brasil last 16.
