The Celtic defender came on late in the match for Steve Clarke’s side, who twice surrendered their lead to the Danes during Tuesday night’s dramatic encounter at Hampden.
It was in stoppage time that Tierney struck a bending effort beyond his club teammate Kasper Schmeichel, securing Scotland’s place in next summer’s World Cup in USA, Mexico and Canada.
Having returned to training with the Hoops yesterday morning, Tierney has revealed that he has watched his famous goal over and over again.

Speaking via Sky Sports, he said: “A lot, to be fair – I’m not going to hide it. After the game, I went back to the hotel and watched it. Yesterday, people kept sending me different background music to the goal, and that was unbelievable.”
When asked which version of the goal he liked best [with music over it], the 28-year-old said that three in particular stood out to him.
“Titanic (My Heart Will Go On] is a good one,” he laughed. “Oasis was a good one, too. I like the Linger [The Cranberries] one as well, so there are a few!
“For an occasion like that, it’s unbelievable. I’ve seen different angles from people in the stadium just recording it, and when you see the reaction and what it means to people, it’s honestly unbelievable. I’ll do well to score a more important goal than that in my life, so it was amazing.
“It was a really important goal. It’s when I see the fans’ reactions in different pubs and wherever people are watching it, in houses. And when you hear these stories, you realise how much it means to people and how much the national team brings everyone together in the country. So, just to be a part of that, a small part of that, is amazing.”
