There was actually a huge bit of Chelsea news that dropped last night during the Barrow game that some Blues fans might have missed due to being focused on that game.

Chelsea were busy beating the League Two side 5-0 to advance into the League Cup fourth round last night, but one Sky Sports reporter decided to put out quite a big bit of Blues news just as the two teams were about to kick off.

As you will have known, Chelsea are still playing games this season without a front of shirt sponsor, as they did last season as well. In the end, they managed to get Infinite Athlete for last season but that deal is over and Chelsea have been searching for a new company to sponsor them for this season and hopefully beyond.

Qatar Airlines to be Chelsea sponsors?

Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol dropped a big update on this subject via his X account last night.

He says:

“Chelsea are in talks with Qatar Airways and two other major airlines about a front-of-shirt sponsorship deal. Chelsea started the season without a main shirt sponsor after Infinite Athlete deal ran out. No Champions League has made it more difficult to find the right deal.”

This could potentially be a massive deal for Chelsea with such a big Airline company to become their new shirt sponsors.

Obviously it sounds like it is just talks at the moment, but if Chelsea could pull something like this off then it would be a huge deal.
