Enzo Maresca has revealed he hopes Cole Palmer will be back for the Champions League clash with Barcelona later this month.
Palmer has been plagued by a groin injury which has caused him problems since the Club World Cup, and has limited him to just four appearances this season.
Enzo Maresca confirmed Palmer would be out for another six weeks before the Nottingham Forest game last month.
If his recovery goes to plan then the England international could be back for some big games towards the end of the month.
It’s understood Palmer has yet to return to training, but Maresca is hoping he’ll be back for the Barcelona game on November 25th.

“We hope so, but with Cole we try to plan, we try to schedule, you know, at the beginning,” he told his pre-match press conference.
“Then we need to review that. So in this moment we go day by day with Cole. He’s not taking any session with the team.
“To be honest, I would like to have Cole here tomorrow. I would like to have Cole early. I said many times that we are a better team with Cole. Unfortunately for us, he’s out, he’s injured, but for sure we want him back very soon.
Chelsea surprisingly haven’t won a game in which Palmer has featured this season, but his return can’t come soon enough.
Whilst Palmer continues to recover from his groin injury, Maresca confirmed Pedro Neto wouldn’t be travelling with the squad to Azerbaijan.

Neto reportedly has a small issue, but will be available for the game against Wolves on Saturday, and he’s the only player not making the trip.
Maresca has taken a strong squad as Chelsea look to make it three wins in a row in the Champions League against Qarabag on Wednesday evening.
