Injured Fiorentina Striker Albert Gudmundsson Aiming To Return To Face Inter Milan | OneFootball

Fiorentina forward Albert Gudmundsson is continuing his comeback from a recent injury and is targeting a return to the team for the upcoming Serie A match against Inter Milan.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere Fiorentino, and via FCInterNews.it, Gudmundsson is following a precise rehabilitation plan, involving intensive treatments and therapies, in a bid to accelerate his recovery.

The 27-year-old is expected to return to full training in the coming week, which would put him on track to join up with his teammates ahead of Fiorentina’s away match against Como, before taking on Inter on December 1.

Gudmundsson suffered a hamstring injury in the middle of October and has missed eight matches for the Viola so far, but is nearing a return to full fitness.

The Icelandic international made a fine start to life at the Stadio Artemio Franchi with three goals in his first four games, but has not been able to feature since.

Gudmundsson joined Fiorentina after a sensational season with Genoa last term in which he netted 14 goals and provided four assists for the newly promoted club.
