Shortages, duplicates and the cost have turned completing the Panini album for the 2026 World Cup into a tricky quest, yet the craze keeps growing across France.

L'Équipe reports that the album is a major hit in France, with sticker packs selling out across the country. Collectors have organised to chase down their missing numbers rather than give up.

Across resale sites, by post and at dedicated events, thousands are swapping or reselling stickers with a single aim, to stick all 980 pieces into the album.

At a shopping centre in Montesson, Yvelines, collectors gathered for a dedicated trading session, exchanging and sourcing the stickers they still lacked.

Even in sticker form, the 2026 World Cup players are drawing crowds, and the hunt continues nationwide to complete albums.
