Inter and Napoli are ‘closely monitoring’ Nottingham Forest winger Dan Ndoye, Calciomercato reports, and a summer move could follow, with a sale if Forest are relegated or a loan with an option to buy.
Ndoye scored on his full Premier League and Europa League debuts, yet his impact has fallen short of expectations. Forest paid a reported €40 million for the 25-year-old, who has two goals and two assists in 31 appearances, failing to offset the departure of Anthony Elanga.
He has not started a Premier League match since being withdrawn at half-time against Everton in early December, and he was an unused substitute against Manchester City last time out.
Interest is said to be shaped by his two years at Bologna, where he played in the Champions League and scored last season’s Italian cup final winner, their first trophy in 51 years.
Both clubs were reportedly keen before Forest signed him and are tracking his situation. In October, Ndoye said it had taken him time to understand how things work after a switch in football and a managerial change from Nuno Espirito Santo to Ange Postecoglou. He has since worked under two more managers while trying to adapt.
