Liverpool have reportedly decided to take the decision to leave star forward Mohamed Salah at home ahead of their Champions League clash against Inter in San Siro on Tuesday evening.
According to various journalists and outlets in the UK, Liverpool have decided to leave Salah at home for Tuesday’s Champions League match against Inter after his comments after his side’s 3-3 draw with Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Arne Slot’s side have put up a weak defence of their Premier League title, and currently find themselves in ninth place in the league table, 10 points off leaders Arsenal after 15 games.

Despite his 250 goals for Liverpool across all competitions, and despite the fact that he is the Premier League’s fourth-highest goalscorer of all time, Salah has been left out of the Liverpool starting line-up for the last three matches, and was an unused substitute for two of them.
He then gave a bombshell interview after Saturday’s 3-3 draw with Leeds, accusing Liverpool of throwing him under the bus.
“It is not acceptable for me. I don’t know why this is happening to me. I don’t get it,” Salah said.
“I think if this was somewhere else, every club would protect its player. How I see it now is like you throw Mo under the bus because he is the problem in the team now. But I don’t think I am the problem. I have done so much for this club.”

He later continued: “I have been at this club, scoring more than anyone in this generation, since I came to the Premier League, I don’t think anyone has scored more goals and made more assists than me. In the whole Premier League. If I am somewhere else, everybody would go to the media and defend the players. I am the only one in this situation.
“I remember a while ago, Harry Kane was not scoring for 10 games, everyone in the media was like ‘oh, Harry will score for sure’. When it comes to Mo everyone is like ‘he needs to be on the bench’. I am sorry Harry!”
Now, the ‘Egyptian King’ is set to be left at home for Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Inter as a result of his comments to the press over the weekend.
