Inter Milan have revived their interest in Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones after failing in their late bid to sign him in January.

They have already had two bids rejected this summer, but are prepared to submit a new offer for the 25-year-old, who is valued at £35 million.

They plan to use Davide Frattesi’s sale to fund a move for the Liverpool academy graduate, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Nottingham Forest are interested in Frattesi as a potential replacement for Elliot Anderson, who is Manchester City’s primary target this summer.

The Nerazzurri plan to raise up to £26m from Frattesi’s sale, which would help them submit a new offer for Jones.

Liverpool have ‘grown increasingly‘ irritated by Inter’s approach for the England international. They will not enter into negotiations unless the Italian outfit submits a significantly improved offer.

Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with an interest in the Englishman, but are focused on Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali.

Jones has one year left on his contract, but Liverpool are prepared to lose him for free next summer, rather than sell him for a cut-price fee now.

The Reds have not ruled out offering Jones a new contract, although negotiations are not expected to start until later in the year.

Jones made just 28 starts across all competitions last season. He is open to leaving his boyhood club in search of more game time.

His potential exit could allow Liverpool to sign a new midfielder. They are interested in Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi and reportedly enquired about Mateus Fernandes.

However, Tottenham and Manchester United are leading the race for the West Ham United star.
