Inter Miami lost its second playoff game against Nashville SC. This means we have ourselves, ladies and gentlemen, a game three to see which teams qualify for the next round. The truth is that as a Herons fan, one can’t help but think about the postseason.

Even though Las Garzas are still alive and with major chances of winning on Saturday, when you are a long-time football fan, you start to realize that Sergio Busquets could be seeing his last minutes with the pink shirt.

So you start to wonder whether Inter Miami already has someone to replace him, or that thought will start to pop in January. The truth is that yes, the Herons have someone in mind to replace the Spanish legend.

Inter Miami showed interest in Milton Delgado.

According to El Intransigente, Inter Miami is one of the three clubs that have their eyes on the young gem from Boca Juniors. With an outstanding performance on the Under-20s World Cup with Argentina, Milton Delgado positioned himself as the next big thing in the midfield.

His latest actions against Morocco in the World Cup final with Argentina, and against Barracas Central and Estudiantes de la Plata, put him as a top target for a European giant and the Herons.

Who are the other two clubs that also asked about these player? One of them is Chelsea, and the other one is set to be FC Porto. According to the mentioned outlet, Chelsea is the club that could gamble the most, while Inter Miami just asks about the player's condition.

Although both Mascherano and Beckham want to see Delgado paired with De Paul, Boca Juniors will only agree to a transfer if the offer meets or exceeds his release clause. As a result, Chelsea remains the frontrunner in the pursuit of Delgado.

Could Milton Delgado help the Herons?

The short answer is yes. Respecting the differences, Delgado has a similar playing style to Sergio Busquets. Delgado is a player who plays one or two-touch; it is rare to see him having the ball for a long period of time.

Not because he is afraid of having the ball, but because he reads the game and understands that playing with the least amount of chance reduces the possibility of losing the ball. Milton Delgado could be a great replacement for the former FC Barcelona players, as he could make an impact right away.

However, I believe the Premier League club will activate the release clause and sign the player. Despite knowing this, Inter Miami could try to make a bid for the Boca Juniors player.
