Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi could deploy Alessandro Bastoni as a wingback against Feyenoord to replace the injured Federico Dimarco.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Italian center-back is the frontrunner to fill the vacancy on the left wing.
Federico Dimarco scored an out-of-this-world free-kick to open the scoring against Napoli last weekend.
However, the 27-year-old had to come off in the second half after suffering a muscle injury.
Therefore, he’ll probably miss tomorrow’s Champions League clash against Feyenoord.
With Matteo Darmian on the sidelines, Simone Inzaghi lacks reliable options on the left wing.
As a result, Bastoni may need to adapt to a new role as Inter head to Rotterdam, significantly weakened by injuries.

Despite his technical and tactical prowess, the star center-back has never played on the wing.
However, Inzaghi is seemingly willing to take a calculated risk and deploy Bastoni as a wingback.
Bastoni’s switch means someone will likely need to take his place in the back three.
Though Francesco Acerbi had a rough night in Naples, he is the number one suspect to fill the gap.
