Inter Milan head coach Simone Inzaghi expects an enthralling match against fellow Scudetto hopefuls Atalanta tomorrow night.
Speaking to InterTV via FCInter1908, Inzaghi hailed Atalanta’s style of play and admitted he expects a high-scoring contest.
The 48-year-old is no stranger to beating Gian Piero Gasperini in high-stakes games.
Indeed, Inter won 2-0 when the two sides met in January’s Supercoppa Italiana semi-finals.
However, Atalanta will take the field in high spirits after demolishing Juventus 4-0 in Turin last weekend.
“Two teams full of enthusiasm are facing off, both in great form,” Inzaghi said. “We know Atalanta well.
“They’ve had an excellent run both in Italy and in Europe.
“It will be a game that we need to approach in the best possible way -with energy, aggression, and determination.
“We know the quality of the opponent we’re up against.”
Inter thrashed Atalanta 4-0 in September’s reverse fixture at the San Siro.
However, Simone Inzaghi expects an entirely different match on Sunday.

“That was one of the first matches of the season,” he added. “The transfer market was still open, and Atalanta was dealing with an emergency situation.
“This time, it will be a completely different game.
“And we’ll need to approach it in the best way possible because the stakes are high.
“We’ll need to maintain extremely high concentration levels and always stay sharp on the pitch.
“There will be plenty of duels and key decisions to make throughout the 90 minutes. My players must remain very clear-headed.”
Both teams have been in scintillating scoring form this season, netting a league joint-high 63 goals.
“We are both very offensive teams with the best attacks in Serie A,” Inzaghi added.
“Therefore, we’ll need to be smart and ready to read every situation.
“Whether it’s open play or a set piece, we must keep our focus at the highest level.
“These are two excellent teams that aim to play modern football. They’re both scoring a lot because they love attacking football.
“Approach and game management are fundamental in football. We saw it in our last league match when we fell behind due to a poor start.
“But we did well to turn the game around, even though it hadn’t started in the best way for us.”
