Inter Milan superstar Lautaro Martinez scored twice off the bench as Argentina trounced Puerto Rico 6-0 in last night’s friendly.
According to FCInter1908, the 28-year-old became La Albiceleste’s fourth all-time leading goalscorer with that brace.
Despite earlier claims that Lionel Scaloni could rest Lautaro Martinez, El Toro entered the field in the second half.
Indeed, Palmeiras striker Jose Lopez took his place in the starting lineup, partnering up with Lionel Messi in attack.

Despite Argentina’s cruising 3-0 lead at halftime, Scaloni decided to throw Martinez into the mix midway through the second half.
Furthermore, the Nerazzurri skipper was relentless, netting twice beyond the 75th minute to seal Argentina’s landslide victory.
In doing so, he drew level with Hernan Crespo on 35 goals. Therefore, he’s now Argentina’s fourth all-time goalscorer.
With Argentina punching their ticket for next summer’s FIFA World Cup, Lautaro could etch his name further into the record books.
Meanwhile, the star striker must now focus on helping Inter make up ground in Serie A.
Indeed, he will lead the line on Saturday when Cristian Chivu’s men take on Roma in a top-table six-pointer.
