Inter Milan star Petar Sucic has chosen to stay humble after helping his side demolish Torino in Serie A round one.
Sucic addressed the press after the game, delivering his verdict on Inter’s emphatic triumph via FCInterNews.
It’s fair to say that the Nerazzurri exceeded expectations in their first league match under Cristian Chivu.
Indeed, last season’s Serie A runners-up strolled to a splendid 5-0 victory over Torino on Matchday 1.
Despite missing Hakan Calhanoglu, Inter outperformed Marco Baroni’s side in every aspect.
Petar Sucic made the Turkish playmaker’s absence go unnoticed.
With Nicolo Barella taking Calhanoglu’s role, Sucic had the freedom to operate as a box-to-box midfielder.
Furthermore, he displayed remarkable composure, unfazed by making his first appearance in a sold-out San Siro.
In addition to a superb overall performance, the 21-year-old racked up an assist for Marcus Thuram in the first half.

Sucic’s maiden outing in Serie A earned him broad plaudits. Indeed, he was among the best-rated Inter players last night.
The Croatian midfielder debuted for the Nerazzurri at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
However, last night’s league fixture was incomparable to the summer tournament.
Indeed, the former Dinamo Zagreb star insisted Inter’s winning start was all that mattered.
“I think we’ve improved as a team since the Club World Cup, but I don’t want to talk about myself,” he said.
“We played a very good match tonight, it’s a great victory, and we’re happy. We have to keep going like this.
“I’m happy to play, like every player. And I’m happy with the win.
“I don’t think about being the only new face in the starting XI. I’m happy, but we must fight to win trophies.”
Sucic looks set for a prominent role at San Siro even after Calhanoglu’s return to the squad.
