Inter Milan newcomer Petar Sucic reminisced about his humble beginnings, evoking fond memories from his childhood.
Speaking to DAZN via FCInterNews, the 21-year-old revealed some exciting facts about his past.
Signed from Dinamo Zagreb, Petar Sucic has all the makings of a new football superstar.
Indeed, the versatile midfielder impressed everyone in his first Serie A appearance for the Nerazzurri.
With Hakan Calhanoglu on the sidelines, Sucic embraced the spotlight as Inter trounced Torino 5-0 at San Siro.
Cristian Chivu deployed his new asset as a box-to-box midfielder, and the player repaid that trust.
In addition to providing an assist to Marcus Thuram, Sucic delivered an outstanding performance on his top-flight debut.
Despite having a bright future ahead of him, the Croatian ace refuses to forget his modest background.
Furthermore, he is proud of his origins and the values they instilled in him.

Destined for stardom, Sucic chooses to keep his feet firmly on the ground.
“I grew up in a small village, in a town, with my family,” Sucic admitted. “We have a small farm. My father enjoys raising cows.
“We had several, and when I was little, sometimes in the mornings, I would help him milk them while he did his farm work.
“I loved that lifestyle, and I think I had a very happy childhood.
“I was outdoors all day and very happy. We also had other animals. I will never forget that part of my life.”
Moreover, he is grateful for the experiences and lessons from his early life.
“I have wonderful memories and so many emotions tied to that place,” Sucic continued.
“I grew up in Bugojno and learned a lot about life in that town. And I think it was an important part of my life because that’s where I grew up.”
When shown an image of himself in a Dinamo Zagreb shirt, Sucic replied: “It was my first Champions League match last season.
“It was raining heavily, and I thought the game might be called off. In the end, we went out on the pitch.
“I was really happy, and I even scored one of the best goals of my life. A night I’ll remember forever.”
Additionally, he talked about his lifestyle.
“I don’t like wasting my time on social media,” Sucic claimed. “It’s a useful tool, but you can also spend five hours on it.
“I prefer to live real life. We are always in the media spotlight. After a match or training, I just need to switch off and relax.
“Spend time with my family; that’s one of the reasons I don’t use social media.”

Sucic’s cousin Luka is making strides at Real Sociedad. However, he didn’t grow up in Croatia like Petar.
“He grew up in Austria, and when he has some free time, he comes to visit every year, and we play like we did as kids.
“We should be very proud of ourselves, and so are our families.
“When we were little, we watched matches on TV together; now we play together in the national team. For me, it’s a special story.”
Both cousins have become permanent fixtures in Zlatko Dalic’s team.
Indeed, they are the two most highly rated Croatian talents.
“I really love the national team, and I’m the happiest boy in the world when I step onto the pitch wearing that jersey.
“It’s been one of the most important opportunities for me, and I enjoy it every time.
“I was happier than ever; my debut was a special and emotional moment,” Sucic concluded.
