Legendary former Nerazzurri forward Youri Djorkaeff believes that Inter Milan can reach another Champions League final this season.
The Frenchman spoke to Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica in an interview published in today’s print edition, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan take on Feyenoord in the Champions League round of sixteen today. It is the second leg of their tie against the Dutch side.
Inter have a 2-0 advantage from the first leg.
However, the Nerazzurri will hardly be underestimating what Feyenoord can do this evening. Particularly with nothing to lose.
But if Inter can make it to the next round, they’ll have momentum on their side.
In a hypothetical quarterfinal tie, the Nerazzurri will face either Bayern Munich or Bayer Leverkusen.
Then, the likes of Barcelona, Benfica, Borussia Dortmund, and Lille are among the potential opponents awaiting Inter in the semfinals.
Inter already reached a Champions League final two seasons ago.
The Nerazzurri overcame the likes of Porto, Benfica, and AC Milan en route to the final. There, they met Premier League juggernauts Manchester City, and were unfortunate to lose the match 1-0.

As far as what he predicts for this current Inter in Europe, Youri Djorkaeff said “I say the final.”
“Inzaghi has a team that seems to have been built specifically for Europe,” the former French international argued.
Djorkaeff noted that “the players fit well together.”
“They have the right spirit. And a calmness that shines through when you watch them.”
Djorkaeff noted that Inter “already went all the way two years ago.”
“The experience from those players who were a part of that run can make the difference,” he predicted.
Meanwhile, Djorkaeff also gave his thoughts on the upcoming Club World Cup. He called it “a tournament of the highest quality, with the best teams.”
“The name alone makes you dream,” he added. “World Cup.”
Djorkaeff called the expanded Club World Cup, which Inter will be participating in, “an international showcase in which everyone will want to leave their mark.”
