The high-flying Serie A champions are about to face off against Young Boys in their third UEFA Champions League outing this season.

Inter enjoyed a promising start to the newly formatted league phase.

A superb defensive performance earned the Nerazzurri a gutsy 0-0 draw against Manchester City on matchday one.

They build on that result in round two with a dominant 4-0 home victory against Red Star Belgrade.

As a result of two impressive defensive showings, Inter entered the third round as one of six sides yet to concede this season.

However, the Italian giants cannot afford to underestimate Young Boys despite the Swiss’ dismal European start.

Following two embarrassing defeats to Aston Villa and Barcelona, the Swiss Super League champions made a change in the dugout.

Indeed, Joel Magnin, who inspired Young Boys to the title last season, has returned to the club as a caretaker boss.

Magnin’s return had an immediate effect.

His side edged Luzern 2-1 at the weekend to halt a three-game losing run in all competitions.

Inter Milan Manager Simone Inzaghi Eager to Claim Victory vs Young Boys

“There are no easy matches in the Champions League,” Simone Inzaghi warned Inter.

“They earned their place in the competition, and they are a physical team.

“We have to be cautious. Italian teams have struggled a lot when playing here in recent years.

Inzaghi also discussed numerous personnel changes for tonight’s clash.

“We’ve made the right amount of changes, and there will be some rotation.

“With games every two and a half days, everyone must feel like a starter and part of the project. My feelings are positive.

“We’re coming off four consecutive wins, despite some difficulties, limited rotations, and the synthetic pitch.

“But, we need to play like the real Inter tonight.”
