The league leaders currently sit comfortably at the top with 72 points from 31 matches, while newly promoted Como continue to impress in their debut campaign back in the top flight. Sitting fifth with 58 points, they could climb back into the top four with a victory over the champions-elect.
Inter recently ended a brief four-game winless run in emphatic fashion, thumping Roma 5-2 thanks to a Lautaro Martínez brace. The Nerazzurri boast Serie A’s most potent attack this season, having netted 71 goals in 31 matches — 16 more than their closest rivals Juventus, who have managed 55 from 32 games.
Cristian Chivu’s side will, however, be without theirskipper Lautaro Martínez, sidelined for at least two weeks with a calf injury. His absence opens the door for young Francesco Pio Esposito to start alongside Marcus Thuram in attack.
Defender Yann Bisseck remains out with a muscle issue, but Carlos Augusto returns from suspension, strengthening Inter’s defensive options. Veteran Francesco Acerbi is expected to marshal the back three once again.
In midfield, Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Piotr Zielinski will aim to maintain their recent rhythm after each contributed to a goal in the win over Roma.
Possible Inter Milan starting XI: Sommer; Akanji, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Zielinski, Dimarco; Thuram, Esposito
The match will kick off at 7:45pm BST on Sunday, 12th April.
