Inter Milan president Beppe Marotta has recently joined the Executive Board of the European Football Clubs.
During his latest interview via FCInterNews, Marotta discussed the significance of Inter’s role within the organization.
EFC has recently changed its name from ECA, but the organization’s mission remains the same.
Indeed, it all comes down to representing the interests of Europe’s top football clubs.
As one of Europe’s elite clubs, Inter Milan now have a direct voice in shaping decisions that affect the continent’s football landscape.
Therefore, Beppe Marotta sees his appointment as an opportunity to ensure Serie A clubs have a strong influence on European matters.
Given Marotta’s outstanding record in Italian football, it’s nothing less than he deserves.
Furthermore, Marotta has re-established the Nerazzurri as one of Europe’s best teams.
For context, they’ve reached two Champions League finals over the last three seasons.
Despite losing both times, the San Siro giants have affirmed their continental credentials.

“Representing a major club in a context where Inter plays a significant role is certainly a great satisfaction,” Marotta said.
“I believe that Italian football is an important component of European football.
“Above all, there needs to be more dialogue, because there is now a natural and physiological symbiosis between Europe and Italy.
“This should lead to the safeguarding of our game, which we must protect from every perspective.”
Alongside AC Milan and Juventus, Inter Milan serve as one of the country’s leading voices in continental discussions and decisions.
Moreover, all three clubs seem destined to fight for the Serie A title this season.
Despite entering the international break narrowly behind leaders Napoli, Cristian Chivu’s charges remain strong Scudetto candidates.
Meanwhile, they’ve also excelled in Europe, winning both opening matches in the Champions League.
