Manchester United are eager to fix their goalscoring issues heading into the new season, and INEOS have started by adding creativity to the frontline with the addition of Matheus Cunha.
They are not done yet, with the Red Devils submitting their opening offer for Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford while even agreeing to the Cameroonian’s wage demands.
Once a deal for the Bees’ ace is completed, they are likely to focus on adding an elite striker with Jean-Philippe Mateta and Moise Kean among the options being considered.
Viktor Gyokeres could once again enter the fray, but first, the future of Rasmus Hojlund needs to be sorted with Ruben Amorim strictly demanding the co-owners to move the Dane on.
He was abysmal last season, netting only four times in the Premier League and generally disappointing with his back-to-goal play.
The 20-time English league champions are aware that not too many teams will cough up the £64 million United paid Atalanta initially two summers ago.
Which is why, INEOS are reluctantly contemplating a loan exit with Inter Milan joining the race. There is also interest from Real Madrid while United have also offered the Denmark international to AC Milan and Atletico Madrid.
If the Nerazzurri are to win the race, they need to come up with an acceptable offer fast and as recently relayed by The Peoples Person, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio visited London to find a breakthrough in negotiations.
As per Tuttosport (via FC Inter News), so desperate are Inter to land Rasmus Hojlund that they are even considering including Yann Bisseck as part of a swap deal.
The German has admirers in the Premier League in the form of West Ham and Aston Villa while the Old Trafford side have also been monitoring his progress.
The centre-back has the experience of playing in a back-three and with Amorim’s doubts regarding Lisandro Martinez, a move could suit both parties.
Inter actually considering such a deal hardly seems plausible given the United No.9’s poor form and Bisseck’s own impressive campaign. But maybe Inter are aware that the slow nature of the Serie A will allow the Dane to shine again, like he did at Atalanta.
Whether United will agree to said proposal remains to be seen. For now, take this update with a hefty pinch of salt.
