This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They report that the indications after the match have ruled out anything serious after Frattesi was on the end of a heavy challenge.

25-year-old Italian international Frattesi was in the Inter starting eleven yesterday.

The former Sassuolo midfielder started on the right of the midfield trio. This allowed Nicolo Barella to play in holding midfield, where there is a bit of an injury crisis.

Both of Hakan Calhanoglu and Kristjan Asllani were absent due to injury.

Therefore, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi went with both Barella and Frattesi in the starting eleven.

No Injury For Davide Frattesi Despite Knock Vs Young Boys

As FCIN note, Frattesi appeared to be limping a bit at the end of yesterday’s match.

The 25-year-old was able to see out the full ninety minutes. But once the Champions League match against Young Boys finished, there was discomfort evident.

This was the result of Frattesi having taken a heavy challenge.

FCIN report that a Young Boys player’s studs grazed the Inter midfielder’s ankle.

Therefore, there was an initial worry that Frattesi may well have picked up an injury.

That would certainly not be welcome news for Nerazzurri coach Inzaghi.

Inter are currently dealing with enough injury problems in the midfield area. Calhanoglu is still likely to miss out on Sunday evening’s Serie A clash with Juventus due to a thigh problem.

Therefore, Inzaghi will certainly want Frattesi available for Sunday’s match.

And according to FCIN, things look positive on that front.

There was some pain for the 25-year-old. But he has not sustained an injury that will cause him to be on the sidelines, and should quickly return to training to shake the problem off.
