Speaking on the La Scalata verso l’alto format, via FCInterNews, the 2003-born centre-back detailed how his development accelerated during his time at Juventus.

“I adapted well at Juventus,” Muharemovic explained.

“After one month I was fully integrated into the group. I learned so much there, it’s the ideal school for a defender. Those of us in the Under-23s trained with the first team and could observe the best defenders up close. I grew a lot during that period.”

He also highlighted the influence of two Juventus legends. “I learned a lot from Chiellini, but it was Bonucci who explained things to me and pushed me to do better. These are things you remember forever.”

Muharemovic also spoke warmly about his friendship with Dean Huijsen.

“Huijsen is a great friend and a great player. He did well in the Premier League and now he’s in La Liga with Real Madrid. At Juventus we promised each other we would become top players and meet again at the biggest clubs in Europe, as teammates or opponents. We’ll see.”

On his move to Sassuolo, the defender said: “When I heard about their interest I was happy. They explained their project to me and I wanted to test myself in Serie B, which is a difficult league, especially for a team that had just been relegated.”

“I’m ambitious and aggressive. I hate losing, I always want to win. I want to be dominant on the pitch and show everything I can do. My goal is to stay in Serie A with Sassuolo, this club deserves it. And of course I want to qualify for the World Cup with my national team. Representing my people is an honour. It’s hard to describe my debut, I enjoy every second wearing that shirt.”
