Inter Milan are heading into the summer transfer window.

And there are a number of priority areas in the squad that the Nerazzurri want to address.

However, above all, it looks to be in attack where Inter will really focus their attention.

This season, Inter have relied upon Marko Arnautovic, Mehdi Taremi, and Joaquin Correa as backups to starting strikers Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.

However, these backups have not proven to be consistent enough. There is a feeling that Inter’s attack has really suffered when coach Simone Inzaghi has rotated.

Meanwhile, Arnautovic and Correa will both be on their way as their contracts expire at the end of June.

Therefore, the aim this summer is to reinvigorate the attack.

The Corriere confirm that Inter want to sign not just one, but two new strikers.

And the priority is clearly to sign younger attackers with room to grow and improve.

One of the names towards the top of Inter’s list is Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee.

The Dutchman has endured an underwhelming debut campaign with United. However, Inter continue to hold him in regard based on his form for Bologna.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri could offer Zirkzee an exit route from Old Trafford.

Moreover, the former Bayern Munich striker’s wages of €3.5 million net per season would be attainable for the Nerazzurri.

Meanwhile, the Corriere report, Parma striker Ange-Yoan Bonny has risen up Inter’s shortlist in attack.

At 21 years of age, Inter believe that Bonny will only continue improving after an impressive debut campaign in Serie A.

However, the Corriere note, while Zirkzee and Bonny both offer a lot in terms of holdup play, neither are prolific goalscorers.

Therefore, the newspaper anticipate, Inter have not exited the race to sign Jonathan David on a free transfer.

Particularly if the Canadian were to lower his demands in terms of agent commissions, he would be another major target for Inter in attack.
