Inter Milan make the trip to Rotterdam to take on Feyenoord in the Champions League’s last 16 this evening.

Simeone Inzaghi’s side impressed in the league phase to finish fourth. Across their eight games, the Italian champions conceded just one goal to post the Champions League’s best defensive record.

Inter are also going strong domestically. The Nerazzurri lead the title race from Napoli and have also progressed into the Coppa Italia semi-finals.

However, Inter will be wary of a Feyenoord side who have already claimed a Serie A scalp. The Dutch side eliminated AC Milan in the play-off round to reach this stage of the competition for the first time in the Champions League era.

Feyenoord are under new management, following the appointment of Robin van Persie as head coach in February.

Simeone Inzaghi is short of depth at wing-back for the clash. Federico Dimarco is ruled out, alongside fellow options Matteo Darmian, Carlos Augusto and Nicola Zalewski. Alessandro Bastoni could be pushed further forward into a wing-back role.

Inter will also be without first-choice goalkeeper Yann Sommer, so Josep Martínez should deputise in goal. Valentin Carboni is not expected to return this season after sustaining an ACL injury.
